Well been thinking about an engine idea than came up on the astra forum, basically someone wanted to know if they could use a redtop engine with auto box... answer being yes! as some redtops that came in calibras did have auto boxes so once I have some no claims... guess what I'm doing Wink

A standard redtop comes with 150bhp....tuning potential of another 150bhp so for those who passed maths... that's 300hp!

Another advantage is that with some more cash spent, you can add flappy paddle so you can change gear minus a clutch without the auto box telling you when.... fun huh!

So as soon as I have enough ncb, redtop in, tuned, flappy paddle.... sorted!

Gonna cost though so wont bee happening for a while but it will be fun! also got to convert the back drums to disks - easy as they're straight swap on Astras with minimal wiring/pipes!
