got some plans for her, as you can see from the first pic, im de rusting her, for a 15 year old motor shes fairly solid

cheers m8, i know people have said its a rust heap before but there isnt really that much tbh, 1 door, 1 corner of the bonnet and the wing, but the bonnet and wing are rust free now just the door to go

tbh rust int that hard to sort easy job really and if it to bad tidy it up and weld it lol

i know the rust int that hard 2 fix i not long been in from priming the bare metal all done, everything got taken back to bare metal, just gotta smooth it out and itll be ready to spray

no i forgot my phone again and by the time the primer had dried and id gone and picked it up it was dark, might get the good old lamp out just to take a pic

yeh get it done much quicker than the p80 i got lol plus the paint was flakin so most of it came off with out 1 much hassle, then i used p80/p125 to buff it up feady for final primier and filler, cos i use p400 it shows all the low spots so i can fill em better

if you want to see your low spots , spray a darker colour than the filler that you are using , and then run a peice of sand paper over it using a flat board with the paper , any dark colours that dont come off which you sprayed onto it , means there are still low spots

got it sorted then mate lol i use primer to sand ma filler down wait till filler set then give a light coat of primer then rub down it makes it so much easier to se when flat and level bud

your right , as the primer is a darker colour....

im always ryt when it comes to body work u talkin to a fully quilified pannel beater and paint sprayer lol

well my primers grey anyway lol (the rust proof 1 that is) then on the bonnet ive used rough wet an dry and removed the primer on the highest spots, just gotta whack a layer of filler, sand it down, spray my white primer over the top and then spray the true vauxhall white on top of that lol i dont think it had clearcoat tho

this is where i found a few dents so while i had the filler out i 'fixed' em


not paint (id do the whole bumper if it was) its filler dust

the wing and sill now rust free (i went over onto the sill so thought id check for rust while i was there, shouldnt have bothered lol)

this is how dusty i got lmao so i thought id give i comparison of how dusty me and the car were)

nobody wanna comment on my derusted car? lol its just about ready for paint, then 2-3 weeks after i apply the top coat ill t cut it cos its all the same shade of white
